Tips and Tricks

1. To start your animation you can press P and to stop it you can press S. This is useful and I used it a ton.

2. When I was adding and deleting figures it was hard to go back every few seconds so I learned that by clicking on your figure and pressing Delete will delete for you and clicking F will let you add a figure much quicker and easier.

3. Since the teams both had multiple players and each team had different colors, going back and forth was a long process. So I learned that simply pressing C will bring you to the color selection and it was much more effortless.

The soccerball.jpg won't download as a sprite image so instead you need a png image with a transparent background to see it. 

If you choose yes then it will re size all your dimensions, so you should click no and it won't re size or mess with any of your dimensions. 

For my chair I downloaded a png image with a transparent background.

What I did this week.

To enhance my blog I created an avatar profile picture of myself and I made a header using bannersnack that has my name, the year, and what grade I'm in. I also added a link list, that has Mr. Bilesky, some students from my class, and a search engine.

What did I learn.

I created my avatar on my blue robot, then went to my right hand side bar and added my image and a witty comment.
To make my header I used bannersnack, went to layout, clicked on header, and added the image.
I learned how to create a link on my blog posts by writing the title of my link, highlighting the text, clicking on link, and adding the url in the web address box. And to make a link list I went to my right hand side- bar and added all the links I wanted.
To add color for my background on my blog posts I click on HTML which takes me to a bunch of codes I can change the color by name or HEX codes

To search for a gif in google images you click on tools which'll take you to another bar and you press on type, scroll down until you find animated and that'll take you to your animated gifs.
And if you wanted to add color to your background and your gifs' background was transparent but you still saw a white box then to make it transparent you would

I've also learned how to add me blog address to pictures or things I create, I go to photoshop and click on type and type out my blog address, save it and I'm done.
Uploading pictures onto my blog posts is another thing I learned and a more efficient way of doing it is downloading it to my dropbox, clicking on insert image, choosing my file and then adding whatever image I've selected.

Ground Hog Day

1. What is groundhog day?

Groundhog Day is a traditional holiday that began in the United States. It is celebrated on February 2 and supposedly predicts the coming of spring. If the groundhog comes out of its burrow and sees no shadow that'll mean early spring, but if it does see its shadow it will run back to its hole and that'll mean 6 more weeks of winter. Groundhog day comes from an ancient Christian celebration known as Candlemas Day from the 1700s. It was a custom on Candlemas Day that the clergy would bless  candles and distribute them to the people in the dark of winter.


2. What is Punxsutawney Phil's prediction?

Punxsuntawney Phil predicted more winter after seeing his shadow.



3. What is Wiarton Willie's prediction?

Wiarton Willie's prediction was an early spring after he came out and did not see its shadow.

What I Want to Learn in IT

I would like to learn how to photo shop because that would just be a neat skill to have and know how to do.

I would also like to learn how to animate, I find it quite interesting so learning that would be pretty cool.

 1. Please share one or two things that is going well, that we need to keep supporting as a school - -what is good?-

One thing that is going really well in this school is the sports teams and all the games we've hosted. I think that the school should keep putting effort in and getting coaches for us because they're super fun and coming out to watch the games is exciting.  

2. Please share one or two things that you think we need to look at as a school. -what's missing?-

Something I think could be improved in the school is better technology and gym equipment. It would  help learning and doing research in class easier and newer P.E much better.
