Course Evaluation June 2017

1. What did you like about the course?

 I like that we got to learn and explore many different areas of info tech that I wouldn't normally do or prefer. I liked creating and designing my own things, such as the keyrings and tutorial videos. And I especially liked the atmosphere of the class, it was easygoing and fun, which made learning that much better.  

2. What could be improved?

Improvements could be time, such as some projects require less time and some projects more. Another thing that I would've like is a say in what exactly we did in the class. Some things were fun and interesting to learn about that I probably never would've wanted to do but I feel like maybe asking the class or getting student opinions on what we want to learn would have been nice.  

3. Add a picture from your favourite assignment.

My favourite assignment was the 3D cube because it was a quick and easy project, but still really fun to create. It was also a nice way to reflect on all my work from the year. 

4. What should you have done to do better?

Things I should have done better were time-management, focusing, and not losing motivation. Paying attention to details, not rushing through projects just to get done, and just asking for more help when I needed it probably would have helped me get a better grade in this class.

Use the custom shape tool and create a heart

Game Journalism Day 5

1. Predict and Play

I think in one class you can get pretty far, you could find a few crates and have quite a few supplies. If you stayed warm during the nights and were hydrated and healthy in the day you could go very far.

2. Write a Guide

Subsistence is a survival game where you have to persevere through extreme weather conditions, limited food and building supplies, and try your best to steer clear of wildlife. To survive through the night and cold build fires, whenever you get your hands on supplies take them ! And make sure to build a base.

Describe and Show how to build:

-campfire : first you chop up some wood 

then you need two sticks and you make then out of wood, after you have your two sticks and three logs click on campfire and craft. 

you walk up to your campfire, press open, take your matches and drag then to the ignition box and drop them. 

press ignite and you have your fire.

What can your interact with and what is the benefit?

-tree : this tree gives you six logs , and they'll give you logs to make campfires.

-rabbit 

-chicken : they give you feathers, meat 

-wolf : steak, fat and cloth

-bear 

-resource bags , different types : medical kits, survival bags, crates and you get all different types of beneficial supplies to help you survive.   

Tips & Tricks :

When night falls and it starts getting colder, chop down wood and create a fire. You need two sticks and three logs to make a fire, then ignite it with the matches you got from the kits. 

Try to kill as many animals as you can because you get resources and supplies from them that are useful. 

Build a base because it is a place where you can migrate back to and hide from predators.
